The rooms at Waterside are evolving over time. We are working hard to let people experience the character that is inherent in the building. Waterside was originally a corn store for the boatmen on the Barrow river and everywhere you go in the building you are now seeing that heritage reflected.
The corridors feature the original granite wall of the mill building, solid and extra thick they help to keep the building cool in Summer and cosy in winter. Every one of the bedrooms feature one or two of the original pitch pine ceiling beams, designed to hold great weight of tonnes of bags of corn delivered by boat from Athy and other far flung towns. In fact all the rooms are different in shape and size, but all offer the same homely atmosphere whether neat doubles or large family rooms. And best of all is that all our rooms overlook the river Barrow and the old stone bridge.
All rooms have en-suite shower, television, telephone, tea/coffee, and all rooms overlook the river Barrow in the
medieval river town of Graiguenamanagh. Waterside is first choice for anyone looking for personality in a county Kilkenny guesthouse.
