April / May 2010

Anybody who has visited Graiguenamanagh in the past will know that April / May is Bluebell season in the woodlands surrounding Graiguenamanagh.

This is a great time to walk in this area as we have so many beautiful woodland areas. The handiest of all is Silaire wood, right on the edge of town and running along the river bank. It is a lovely mix of evergreen and deciduous native woodland, and it is an ideal environment for the gorgeous bluebells. Just look at the photo!
