April / May 2012

Anybody who has visited Graiguenamanagh in the past will know that April / May is Bluebell season in the woodlands surrounding Graiguenamanagh.

bluebells.jpgThis is a great time to walk in this area as we have so many beautiful woodland areas. The handiest of all is Silaire wood, right on the edge of town and running along the river bank. It is a lovely mix of evergreen and deciduous native woodland, and it is an ideal environment for the gorgeous bluebells. Just look at the photo!

So contact us now and book your room at Waterside Guesthouse and be here for a really nice time of year.

Super Silaire!

WOODLAND WALK

Silaire Wood is now officially open after months of great work by a hardowrking team. This area of mixed deciduous woodland is a lovely walk up the river bank from Graigue. The boardwalk by the river is particularly fantastic for watching life on the Barrow and trail up through the trees is an adventure for families on a day out. If you go down to the woods today, youre in for a big and brilliant surprise.
