The stretch upriver from Graiguenamanagh has also become a popular spot for rowing clubs, particularly since Graiguenamanagh established its own rowing club in 2001. Brian Roberts, proprietor of Waterside, is currently captain of Graiguenamanagh Rowing club and can advise any club interested in visiting the town for weekend training camps.
